Life Insurance That Protects Your Family and Could Build Tax-Free Value

Life insurance protection comes first. But the right policy may also build cash value over time — with tax-free growth, downside protection, and flexible access that traditional accounts can't match.

The Problem
Nearly 40%

Of Americans are underinsured or have no life insurance at all. If something happened to you, would your family be financially okay?

$0 Floor

IUL cash value never goes negative — even during market crashes. Your 401(k) has no such protection.

Tax-Free

Access your IUL cash value without triggering taxable events. No RMDs. No penalties. No age restrictions.

Most people don't think about life insurance until it's too late. But the right policy doesn't just protect your family if something happens to you — it could also build cash value tax-free, with downside protection and access on your terms.

Don't wait until it's too late to protect your family.

How It Works

Protection First. Tax-Free Benefits Built In.

Life Insurance Protection + Tax-Free Growth

  • Cash value grows linked to major indexes (S&P 500, Nasdaq, etc.)
  • Gains accumulate tax-free under IRC 7702
  • No contribution limits like 401(k) or Roth IRA
  • Compound growth without annual tax drag

Growth is based on index performance with caps and participation rates that vary by carrier and policy design.

Key Differentiator

Built-In Safety Nets

  • 0% floor — your cash value never decreases due to market losses
  • Borrow against cash value tax-free via policy loans
  • No Required Minimum Distributions — access money on your schedule
  • Tax-free death benefit protects your family from day one

Policy loans reduce the death benefit and cash value. Policies must be properly funded and maintained to retain tax advantages.

Common Questions

IUL FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most about life insurance protection and IUL.

  • IUL is a permanent life insurance policy designed to protect your family for life. It includes a tax-free death benefit, plus a cash value component that may grow based on the performance of a market index (like the S&P 500), without being directly invested in the market. Under current IRS rules (IRC 7702), cash value growth is tax-free and may be accessed via tax-free policy loans.
  • Unlike a 401(k), IUL withdrawals (via policy loans) aren't taxed as ordinary income. Unlike a Roth IRA, IUL has no contribution limits. And unlike both, IUL includes a death benefit and a 0% floor that protects your cash value from market losses. IUL is not a replacement for these accounts — it's what comes after you've maxed them out. And unlike all three, IUL is first and foremost life insurance — your family could be protected from day one.
  • No. Your cash value is never directly invested in the market. Instead, the insurance carrier credits your account based on the performance of an index, subject to a cap rate and participation rate. You get upside exposure with a floor (typically 0%) designed to protect your cash value from market losses.
  • IUL policies do have costs — cost of insurance charges, administrative fees, and surrender charges in early years. These are transparent and outlined in every policy illustration. For properly funded policies held long-term, the tax advantages and downside protection can significantly outweigh costs. That's why policy design and funding strategy matter — and why working with a knowledgeable advisor is critical.
  • Yes. You can borrow against your cash value at any age through policy loans, with no penalties and no taxable events (as long as the policy remains in force). There are no age restrictions or Required Minimum Distributions. This flexibility is one of IUL's strongest features for high earners.
  • IUL is most effective when funded at higher premium levels, which is why it's best suited for earners at $150k+. The specific amount depends on your age, health, goals, and policy design. A personalized illustration will show you exactly how different funding levels affect your cash value growth and income projections.
